Rue des Francs-Bourgeois is an exclusive shopping venue in the Le Marais district in Paris.  This fashionalbe street starts at Rue Rambuteau.

Many trendy and exclusive fashion stores, such as Ventilo, can be found along the Rue des Francs-Bourgeois.

On Sundays, many people come to Rue des Francs-Bourgeois to have brunch and to walk and visit the shops, looking at the latest Paris fashions.

Rue des Poulies was the original name of Rue des Francs-Bourgeois. In the early fifteenth century, a  Grand Prieur was given a nobleman's private mansion located on the street so that a home could be  provided for 48 poor French people who were known as francs-bourgeois. Thus, the street became known as Rue des Francs-Bourgeois.
